Dutch Film JUST FRIENDS (Just friends – BNNVARA) wins Audience Award at WAY OUT WEST FILM FESTIVAL, Alburquerque, New Mexico - USA
After the Premio del Publico in Milan and the Peoples Choice Award in Perth, the Dutch Telefilm Simply Friends, or JUST FRIENDS in Albuquerque, New Mexico won the AUDIENCE AWARD for BEST FEATURE, or the Audience Award for Best Feature Film. It is the third prize in a short time for this film. The audience's high appreciation for the film was partly due to the fact that homosexuality is now not a problem for the family, but that it revolved around the mothers who rejected the choice of partner. According to the organization, there has never been such a good laugh at a film with two gay protagonists.
