Make-up artist Tristan Versluis never flaunted his Dutch origins. But thanks to the Oscar nomination for his work on the war epic 1917, the 37-year-old Dutchman, who lives in Spain and mainly works here, came into the spotlight. Before 1917, Versluis spent six months in London, where he had the Shepperton Studios as his home base.
