Femke Halsema's husband got into trouble because of a disabled revolver for a film shoot. "Anything that looks like a weapon is a weapon in the eyes of the law." says Jarg de Boer. He runs one of the two companies in the Netherlands that you can go to as a filmmaker if you need a weapon for a production. Thanks to his years of experience, De Boer now knows almost everything about the weapons law. He also rents out guns, swords and guillotines. “That is not allowed, but it has been done secretly for years, they simply spray paint it black,” says the gun rental company.
