The number of non-white actors in successful Dutch cinema films has doubled since the turn of the century. In 2017, 20 percent of the leading actors in these films were not white, according to a study into diversity within the Dutch film world on Monday. The research was conducted by Brandpunt+ in collaboration with FilmVandaag.nl. The two parties selected the ten most visited films that have been released since 1999. In total, approximately 1,200 actors and almost 160 films were examined.
