While the budget for distribution was kept at the same level in 2018 - despite the disappearance of the contribution from film distributors and cinema operators based on the VAT agreement - the Film Fund has now chosen to double the budget to € 2 million from 2019. This gives an extra boost to increasing the diversity of the offer, strengthening the position of home-grown films and increasing their visibility. The changes in the application options are broadly explained below.
