The premiere of Paul Verhoeven's new film – the lesbian nun drama Benedetta – has been postponed by a year. The decision has to do with a hip operation that the 80-year-old Dutch director recently underwent in Los Angeles. The intervention was necessary because the shooting of the Benedetta at various locations in France and Italy required a lot from Verhoeven physically. "My physical condition has not improved in recent days," the director told De Volkskrant.
