About a hundred people left the room during the screening of Lars von Trier's new film The House that Jack Built. The Danish director did receive a six-minute standing ovation afterwards. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the reason why so many people ran away can be found in the sometimes gruesome mutilation scenes that appear in the thriller.
