Stichting Omroep Limburg will appeal to the Council of State in a case about fines imposed by the Dutch Media Authority. The case has been dragging on for years, but the Limburg court recently rejected objections from the broadcaster. According to the court, there was also no reason to further reduce the fines. This concerns programs with a health theme that were exempted and sponsored in 2014. The Commission imposed a fine of 81,000 euros for violating the sponsorship ban. L1 believes that the programs were educational. An exception to this is possible in the Media Act.
