Arjen Sinninghe Damsté is the first young filmmaker to be interviewed in the Filmmakers of Tomorrow series. He made De Nieuwe Man as a graduation film for the Film Academy. This film earned him a Wildcard at the Film Fund. He recently made the short film The Rogue about a rare dolphin on the Dingle Peninsula in the south of Ireland. In the film he follows some Irish characters who have a special bond with the dolphin: "The bond that these people had with the dolphin was interesting because we felt that this bond played an important role in these people's lives."
