Lars von Trier can soon expect an invitation to the presentation of the Palme d'Or. It seems that the board of the Cannes Film Festival is welcoming the Danish director back after years. "The management of the festival has been working in recent days to remove the persona non grata status that Von Trier was given seven years ago," said artistic director Thierry Frémaux during an interview on the French radio station Europa 1. Von Trier was appointed in 2011 declared persona non grata after comments about Adolf Hitler.
