film 'Oorlog tot in het graf'

Roy Dames

For 8 years now I have been making a film about the victims of the razzia on April 16 in Beverwijk and Velsen Noord in 1944. Around 500 young men were arrested, 70 died in Germany in labor camps around Leipzig. It was the first house-to-house raid in the Netherlands, a reprisal for the resistance attacks and the lack of labor in Germany. After that, many similar raids would follow. The victims have never been officially recognized as war victims in the Netherlands. Many have died frustrated because of this. I shot a lot in both the Netherlands and Germany, 2 of the 3 shot victims have since passed away. It is primarily a human interest film. I have financed everything myself so far, broadcaster Max may be interested, will offer it further. Find a producer in Leipzig, who can offer the project to the MDR or another German broadcaster. Who could help me with a German producer?? Please. I want to finish the film in 2019, it will be 75 years since the raid took place.
