The board of the Dutch Film Festival is pleased to announce the new General Director. Silvia van der Heiden will take up this position from mid-May. Van der Heiden has been a member of the Management Team of the VPRO since 2008 and is a board member of, among others, Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ and Brainwash Festival: "As a film lover and professional, I have been following the Dutch Film Festival for years. It is therefore an honor to represent the festival, especially now that the film world is changing so much under the influence of online and interactive possibilities," says van der Heiden.
