Star Wars fans bought tickets en masse on Tuesday for the new part in the series, The Last Jedi. More than 10,000 people have secured a ticket for the first day, according to extras from Pathé and Vue. That is more than for The Force Awakens, the previous Star Wars film from 2015. 9,000 tickets were sold on the entire first day. Two-thirds of all tickets sold are for a performance in an Imax theater. Several Imax performances on December 13 are already sold out, Pathé said.
