Tulipani, the latest film by Mike van Diem and also the opening film of the Dutch Film Festival this year, will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. At this prestigious festival, the film was selected for the Contemporary World Cinema competition and is therefore in the running for the festival's People's Choice Award. It is not the first time that a Dutch film has been shown at the Toronto film festival: last year Brimstone by Martin Koolhoven also made an appearance.
