Even though Mediahuis had set a minimum of 70 percent, it still went ahead with the takeover. That possibility has always been kept open. Of the 39 percent of shares that are not owned by Mediahuis, John de Mol's company Talpa owns approximately 30 percent. This week he also made a public offer on TMG of 6.50 euros per share.
